1. Memorandum of association and articles of association
You must prepare the founding documents and articles of association yourself, you can do this yourself or you can get help from an accountant, bookkeeper or lawyer for this. The documents have fixed formal requirements and are signed by those who are to found the company. See the example of the foundation document here.
2. Opening balance
If the share capital is to consist only of cash contributions, there is no longer a requirement for an auditor's confirmation of the opening balance (new from 1 July 2013). However, an auditor must confirm the opening balance with a separate letter if share contributions are to be made with anything other than money, the company is to become a party to an agreement or someone is to be given certain types of special rights.
3. Opening an account
The next thing you need to do is open an account for payment of share capital. DNB requires signed founding documents and articles of association. In addition to this, you must fill in a form "New corporate customer in DNB"
4. The bank does this
The bank opens an account where you can deposit the share capital for the company, a minimum of NOK 30,000. The account will be blocked until the company is registered in the Brønnøysund registers with the organization number and agreements for the account, card and online banking have been signed and returned to the bank.
5. Confirmation of paid-in share capital
Once you have deposited the share capital, you notify DNB of this. The bank's adviser will be able to confirm the share capital with a letter, as well as confirm this electronically via www.altinn.no (if you are responsible for the registration).
6. The registration in Altinn.no
If you register your company electronically via www.altinn.no, all documents must be entered here. These are memorandum of association, articles of association, opening balance (see item 2), and confirmation of share capital.
7. Declaration from a financial institution or auditor
At www.altinn.no, you will be notified to upload the attachment «Declaration from a financial institution or auditor», and then provide the organization number of the person who is to sign this attachment digitally. The organization number for DNB Bank ASA, no. 984 851 006, must be entered here.
8. Brønnøysund Register / Altinn.no

9. Process at the Brønnøysund Register
When all correct documents have been submitted to the Brønnøysund Register (possibly via www.altinn.no), it normally takes two to five days before the company is registered and the organization number is ready.
10. The company is registered
When you receive the organization number from the Brønnøysund registers and this is searchable via www.brreg.no, you send a company certificate and updated shareholder register to an adviser in DNB - account, card and online banking can now be prepared.
