Type of trip suitable for teenagers
Hello everyone, I try to share a worry from which I can not get out.
I find myself periodically organizing trips not only for me and my partner but also for the two of us with her daughter, currently 12 years old (almost 13) in full adolescence, who lives with her mother during the week but spends most of the time with us. holidays and weekend end, therefore all the moments of possible travel.
Let's say that he never travels with his mother, but always travels with us.
In a few years, from 9 to 12, we took her to the mountains (where she showed little interest in both winter and summer sports), then Paris, Brussels, Lyon, London, Barcelona, Munich and Bavaria, Amsterdam, and a tour of Holland, Italy Rome, Milan, Venice and almost all the Tuscan cities, Elba, Sicily, Puglia, Lanzarote this year.
When she was younger we always did 3-4 days so as not to tire her too much and we included children's activities (amusement parks ...) and everything always went well.
This year we have brought her a week to Lanzarote on her wish for an island with sea and "something else to do" (not well specified).

As the years go by, I see her getting more tired, bored more (after two days she would come home or just want to be with a mobile phone in her hand on a sofa or at the most in the pool) and I begin to not know what kind of vacation arrange. In Lanzarote I booked, especially for her, a hotel that had a swimming pool and entertainment for children, in the hope that she would make friends, even international ones (which would seem a beautiful thing to me), but nothing. We had to struggle to get her out of the hotel room.
I thought about the cruise, but without built-in wi-fi, it doesn't budge and it hurts me to spend money to keep it attached to my cell phone on a ship where there are thousands of businesses and peers to bond with.
Well ... I understand the difficult age, but I can't figure it out. Above all, it bothers me (and maybe I'm wrong here ...) to think about carrying around someone whose only interest is sharing photos of where they are on WhatsApp and shopping.
Maybe cell phones, social networks, and shopping have no interest for me ... while I'm curious, I love to travel, discover and look around ... that organizing trips in this way are frustrating for me (besides the risk of seeing long faces).
Has anyone / has had similar experiences and can you help me deal with them? What kind of vacation could mediate his interests as a teenager and the idea of travel that we adults have? Can't you leave the city / hotel-with-wifi / shopping scheme?
